Vivid & Friday Night Sirius

Architects, designers, artists, lawyers, journalists, off-duty media stars and local residents celebrated Friday Night Sirius last week. Throughout the night there was music, a barbecue, drinks and good conversation, and guests weaved ribbons through the cyclone-wire fence recently erected around Sirius to intimidate Sirius residents and their guests. One thousand people answered Tim Ross’s call show Sirius some love by filling the courtyards with people for the evening. An extravagant light show on the western side was a great surprise for visitors and for everyone crossing the Harbour Bridge that evening which was captured in some great photos by Ben Guthrie. Ben has been shooting to support the Save Our Sirius campaign for some time.

Yesterday we heard reports that a woman from FACS was removing the ribbons from the cyclone-wire fence and she described the people responsible for weaving the ribbons as vandals. From the description received, the woman might be a certain ‘Relocation Officer’ we know.
