Forced Out: Film Update

It’s been just over three months since our fantastic screening and forum event at Parliament House. Each of you played a part in making it a successful and inspiring day, so we’d like to thank you for your involvement and support.

We have continued filming with the community and are committed to telling their stories.

Forced Out had some positive press in the South Sydney Herald, New Matilda and the Central Sydney Magazine and we hope this continues through the year. Our online clip has had over 1200 views. To share this use the link here:

The more people who see this the better, to share the story and raise awareness for the community. A story Blue wrote about her time with the community was published in the UTS Writers Anthology.

As we move through the stages of production, the time has come to start fundraising. We’re reaching out to you as you’ve already shown your support and have become a part of this campaign. We’ve set up a donation site through Documentary Australia Foundation. All donations through this site are tax deductible, no matter how big or small.

We can’t make this film alone, but with your help it can become a reality, joining us in making a difference and tell an important story about a resilient and unique community trying to save their homes. Please also share this by forwarding it to someone in your network who could become a supporter of Forced Out and the community.

You can stay in touch through our facebook page

We are also building a website for the film where there will be updates, news and videos. When it’s live we would love to share it with you.

Thank you so much for your support of the film and the community.

Blue, Helen & Tom
