The maritime history of Millers Point was exhibited recently in several shipping containers at the Cutaway underneath Barangaroo Reserve. These are a few images from the exhibition which showed that unbroken history in Millers Point that runs from the early settlers, merchants and maritime workers to the people who still call Millers Point home. The exhibition stretched back to the early wharf owners, including Thomas Dyer Edwards who built 37 Lower Fort Street and set up trade with China in the year the East India Company monopoly was broken, as well as video of current residents, including Pat Tooher and Barney Gardner. A great exhibition. Perhaps some aspects of it could be made permanent somewhere in Barangaroo.
